Media Literacy and EU policies


The European Union devotes specific attention to Media Literacy (what does this mean? click here) in the field of internal market policies, including education.

The European Commission supports the exchange of best practices in media Education and promotes networking through European policies, programmes and projects. The aim is to educate and empower citizens, raise their awareness and support a critical approach to online content to help counter the effects of disinformation campaigns and false news in today’s digital media landscape.

It covers different media: broadcasting, radio, radio, print, through various channels: traditional, internet, social media and addresses the needs of all ages.

As TIA Formazione we are working on several projects on media literacy, communication and fake news.
